The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) has regularly held a bilateral meeting on the competition policy with competition authorities of other countries for the purpose of building the cooperative relationship and promoting the mutual understanding.

The JFTC will hold the bilateral meeting with the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (USFTC) as follows. This meeting has been held since 1977.
