Japan Fair Trade Commission
The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) announces that today Mr. Takashi Yamamoto is appointed as a Commissioner of the JFTC, in the wake of the expiration of former Commissioner Michiyo Hamada’s term. Mr. Yamamoto joined the JFTC Secretariat in 1982 and worked as, among other titles, Director Generals for the Investigation Bureau in 2008 and the Economic Affairs Bureau in 2009 respectively. Since January 2011, he served as Secretary General of the JFTC General Secretariat and was retired as of January 2014.
Mr. Yamamoto graduated from Tokyo University (B.A.).
