The JFTC Issued a Cease and Desist Order to the Participants in Bidding for Uniform(Working Wear) Ordered by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation

Japan Fair Trade Commission

The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) today issued a cease and desist order to the participants in bidding on May 21 2015 for uniform(working wear) ordered by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (NTT East).

JFTC found that they substantially restrained competition in the field of the above uniform by designating successful bidders and enabling them to win the bidding.

The JFTC also requested the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation The Nippon Uniform Center (NUC), which undertook consulting services for the bidding, to take recurrence preventive measure, finding that the NUC’s employee facilitated the violation by informing that no company, except the above mentioned participants, submitted swatch necessary for participation in bidding etc.

*“Uniform(working wear) ordered by NTT East” means 14 types of working wear that NTT East specifies and it as well as its subsidiaries purchase.
*Every announcement is tentative translation.
