The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) today issued cease and desist orders and surcharge payment orders to the companies who participated in the bidding for manufacturing of uniforms and providing rental service of such uniforms to the retail stores of NTT DOCOMO, INC. (NTT DOCOMO) ordered by NTT DOCOMO. The total amount of the surcharge to be paid is 10.25 million yen.

JFTC found that they substantially restrained competition related to the above uniforms by designating successful bidders and enabling those bidders to win the bidding.

*“uniforms ordered by NTT DOCOMO” means uniforms that NTT DOCOMO specifies for the female staffs of DOCOMO SHOP which is mobile phone retail store operated by agents of NTT DOCOMO.
