Japan Fair Trade Commission
The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) today issued a warning to Osaka Gas Co., Ltd.. In this case, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. could be in violation of prohibition of the Article 19 (falling under the Item 5, Paragraph 9, Article 2 [Abuse of Superior Bargaining Position]) of the Antimonopoly Act (AMA).
JFTC found that Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. had been causing the service shops authorized from Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. to provide services and to sell gas instruments to purchase the Osaka Gas branded gas fan heaters beyond the actual needs for the service shops.
