Japan Fair Trade Commission
The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) today issued cease and desist orders and surcharge payment orders to the manufacturers of asphalt mixture. The total amount of the surcharges to be paid is about 39.9 billion yen.
The JFTC found that they substantially restrained competition in the field of sales of asphalt mixture by agreeing to increase the sales price.
＊“Asphalt mixture” means a mixed material of petroleum asphalt mixed with crushed stone, sand, stone powder, etc.
