Today, the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) issued a cease and desist order and a surcharge payment order against a vendor participating in bidding for office work in hospitals ordered by hospitals located in Aichi and Gifu Prefecture.

The JFTC found that the two participants in the bidding substantially restrained competition in the field of the office work in hospitals, in concert with one another, by designating prospective bidders.

The two participants in the bidding violated Article 3 of the Antimonopoly Act. The amount of the surcharge against NICHIIGAKKAN CO., LTD. is 121.34 million yen.
