The 51st CPRC Open Seminar

Digital markets have been bringing game-changing businesses and services, and playing an important role in creating innovation. On the other hand, it is said that a small number of digital platform operators monopolize and oligopolize the markets as data and users are concentrated on those specific digital platforms. It is concerned that monopolies and oligopolies of markets by those firms may raise issues such as unilateral change of trade terms and conduct imposing disadvantages on their competitors.

This seminar focuses on enforcement of the Antimonopoly Act and competition laws in the digital markets, and new legislations discussed and implemented for responding to the digital markets. It provides an opportunity for the audience to understand latest information in each jurisdiction from enforcers of Japan, the EU and the US with commentary given by the moderator. Regardless your professional expertise of the Antimonopoly Act and competition laws, we are looking forward to your participation.
