The International symposium on competition policy was held on 20th Nov. 2003, to commemorate the inauguration of the Competition Policy Research Center within the Fair Trade Commission of Japan (CPRC/JFTC). The symposium was co-hosted by CPRC/JFTC, the Economic and Social Research Institute within the Cabinet Office of Japan (ESRI) and Nihon Keizai Shimbun (NIKKEI.)
