2 THEME, INSTRUCTORS
THEME "Impartiality of competition and public welfare"
"It is easy to give examples of obviously partial acts of competition, however, it is by far difficult to answer the question squarely on what impartiality in competition is. In this seminar, we aim to explain thoughts of economists on competitive laws and competition policy as the first purpose by introducing two ways to define impartiality of competition games in the market economy. The second purpose of this seminar is to explain recent thoughts of normative economics regarding the concept of public welfare which is often referred to both in the discussions on the Constitution and Anti-monopoly Act."
