Concerted refusal to deal by taxi companies
As you can see in the illustration below, twenty-one taxi companies refused to allow lower fare competitors to participate in the common taxi ticket business (a business that allows customers who have signed a contract to use common tickets for multiple taxi companies (so called taxi tickets) within a specified territory).
As a result of the investigation by the Fair Trade Commission, the act of the taxi companies was found to come under concerted refusal to deal, a type of unfair trade practices. Accordingly, a cease and desist order was issued against the taxi companies whose act was in violation of the rules.
