Withdrawal of Request for Hearing by Manuli Rubber Industries S.p.A.

On February 20, 2008 the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) issued cease and desist orders to five companies and issued a surcharge payment order to one company. By the deadline of request for hearing, Manuli Rubber industries S.p.A. requested hearing in relation to the cease and desist order and the JFTC commenced the procedures for hearing in accordance with the provision of Paragraph 3,Article 52 of the Antimonopoly Act. On June 17, 2008, however, the company withdrew in writing the request for hearing pursuant to the provision of Paragraph 4, Article 52 of the Antimonopoly Act. By this withdrawal, the cease and desist order against the company became final and binding.
