Commencement of Hearing procedures against Hamanaka Co., Ltd. (Hamanaka Wool Resale Price Restriction Case)

Hamanaka Co., Ltd. (See Note) requested a hearing on the cease and desist order issued to it by the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) on June 23, 2008 (2008 (Measures) No. 14). The JFTC decided on September 10, 2008 to commence the hearing procedures in accordance with the provision of Paragraph 3, Article 52 under the Antimonopoly Act and gave a notice to that effect to Hamanaka (for details of the cease and desist order, refer to the Press Release dated June 23, 2008 on the JFTC website).
(Note) Hamanaka Co., Ltd. sells hand-knitting yarns and handicraft yarns in the form of ball called “Hamanaka Yarn” with the trademark “Hamanaka” or “Rich More".
