Japan Fair Trade Commission
Yusen Air & Sea Service Co.,Ltd., Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd., Vantec Corporation (note1) and "K" Line Logistics, Ltd. respectively requested for hearings on the cease and desist orders and the surcharge payment orders issued by the Japan
Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) on March 18, 2009 to twelve entrepreneurs that were engaged in international air freight forwarding business (Note2) (2009 (Measure) No. 5 and 2009 (Payment) No. 7, No. 9,No. 12 or No. 13). And, Nissin Corporation requested for hearing on the surcharge payment order issued by JFTC on the same day (2009 (Payment)No. 11). The JFTC decided on July 3, 2009 to commence the hearing procedures in accordance with the provision of Paragraph 3, Article 52 under the Antimonopoly Act and gave notices to that effect to the above five entrepreneurs.
(Note1) Vantec World Transport Co., Ltd. which was one of the addressees of cease and desist orders and the surcharge payment orders was merged by absorption by Vantec Corporation.
(Note2)Business to provide service of transporting outbound cargoes, upon demand of customers, by using transport services of air career companies (including, where applicable, collection and delivery of the cargo made prior to and following air transport)..
