JFTC holds the Training Course for Malaysia Competition Commission on the Antimonopoly Act and Competition Policy

The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) will hold the second training course for the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) on the Antimonopoly Act and competition policy from March 11 through 15, 2013 in Osaka and Kobe, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Under the circumstances that the MyCC was established in April 2011 and Malaysian competition law came into effect in January 2012, the training course takes place to provide MyCC officials with opportunities to obtain the knowledge on Antimonopoly Act and competition policies, with the purpose of supporting the enhancement of the competition legislations and law enforcement in Malaysia.

  1. Period: March 11 to 15, 2013
  2. Venue: JFTC Kinki Regional Office (Osaka) and JICA Kansai International Center (Kobe)
  3. Participants: 5 MyCC officials
  4. Organizers: JFTC and JICA
  5. Contents: Lectures by academians on the Antimonopoly Act and competition policies; lectures by JFTC officials on investigation procedures and techniques, etc.
