Japan Fair Trade Commission
The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) today issued warnings to the grocery stores(Kanesue Shoji Co.,Ltd., Y store Co.,Ltd., hereinafter referred to as the “two companies”).
In this case, two companies could be in violation of prohibition of Article 19 (Unjust Low Price [Article 2, Paragraph 9, Item 3]) of Antimonopoly Act.
Two companies were selling vegetables such as a cabbage at 1 yen, from May 11 to 18, 2017, thereby could possibly cause difficulties to the business activities of other grocery stores in thesurrounding area of their stores.
