 On 28th September, the JFTC co-hosted the 16th East Asia Top Level Officials' Meeting on Competition Policy along with the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore and the Asian Development Bank Institute. In the meeting which was held online, Chairman Furuya delivered opening remarks, and Commissioner Yamamoto took the role of a panelist in the session titled “Recent Developments and trends in competition law and policy – How has Covid-19 changed the competition law enforcement landscape?” On 29th September, the 13th East Asia Conference on Competition Law and Policy, whose theme was “The impact of advances in technologies on competition policy and law”, was held online. Commissioner Yamamoto gave an opening address in the conference.
