Japan Fair Trade Commission
The Japan Fair Trade Commission will, together with the ASEAN Secretariat and Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), hold a training workshop for the ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC)from December 2 to December 4 in Tokyo
with the theme “Establishing an effective competition authority.”
The ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC) was established at the ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting in October 2007. Its purpose is to contribute to the development of competition policies in the ASEAN area and the realization of an
economic area with competitive competence. The group gives programs corresponding to the needs of each competition-related authority in member countries in the form of training workshops.
From competition-related authorities in ASEAN countries, 23 staffs will participate in the workshop. Lecturers will be dispatched from competition authorities in Japan, the U.S., Korea and China as well as from OECD.
