The JFTC holds the Training Course for Developing Countries on the Competition Law and Policy

The Training Course for Developing Countries on the Competition Law and Policy will be held by Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan from August 18 to
September 18, 2009.
Under the circumstance that trends to introduce or enhance the competition law have been enhanced in developing countries in recent years, the training course will be held to provide officials of competition authorities etc. in developing countries with an opportunity to obtain the knowledge on Japan’s Antimonopoly Act and its implementation, with the purpose of contributing to the introduction or enhancement of competition law in developing countries.
The JFTC has held this training course fourteen times from 1994 to 2008 using the
JICA’s scheme for technical assistance, according to the request by the Governments of
developing countries.

1. Period : August 18 to September 18, 2009
2. Venue : JFTC, Tokyo and JICA Osaka International Center, Osaka
3. Participants : 10 officials from competition authorities etc. in 7 countries
4. Organizers : JFTC and JICA
