The JFTC holds the 17th Training Course for Developing Countries on Competition Law and Policy

The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) will hold the 17th Training Course for Developing Countries on the Competition Law and Policy from September 29 to October 26 in Tokyo and Osaka, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

In recent years, more developing countries have introduced or enhanced their competition laws and authorities. This training course is mainly targeted at officials of younger competition authorities to enhance their capacity. The training course consists of lectures about Japan’s Antimonopoly Act and competition policy.

The JFTC has held the training course almost every year with the JICA since 1994.

1. Period: September 29 to October 26, 2011

3. Participants: 7 officials from competition related authorities in 4 countries
