The JFTC holds the 10th Training Course for Indonesia on the Antimonopoly Act and Competition Policy

The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) will hold the 10th Training Course for the Indonesian competition authority (Kosimi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU)) on the Antimonopoly Act and Competition Policy from February 4 through 22, 2013 in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Since the competition law was in effect in September 2000, the KPPU has worked on reinforcing its implementation of the competition law as an independent governmental agency. Under such circumstances, the JFTC has held the series of training courses since 2003 in order to provide KPPU officials with opportunities to obtain the knowledge on the Antimonopoly Act and competition policies, with the purpose of supporting to enhance the competition legislations and strengthening the competition law enforcement in Indonesia.

 1. Period: February 4 - 22, 2013

 2. Venue: JFTC offices(Tokyo and Osaka) and JICA Kansai International Center(Kobe)

 3. Participants: 11 KPPU officials

 4. Organizers: JFTC and JICA

 5. Contents: Lectures by academians on the Antimonopoly Act and competition policies;

 lectures by the JFTC officials on investigation procedures and techniques, etc.
