Agreement between the Government of Japan and the European Community Concerning Cooperation on Anticompetitive Activities

The first round of negotiations to amend “Agreement between the Government of Japan and the European Community Concerning Cooperation on Anticompetitive Activities” (concluded in 2003) was held on October 19 and 20, 2017 in Tokyo, Japan.
Both sides, Japan and the European Union agreed to continue negotiations in order to further enhance their cooperation in the field of competition, in particular by facilitating the exchange of information obtained during the course of an investigation.
Both sides decided to work on scheduling the dates of the next round of negotiations.
