Japan Fair Trade Commission
The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) today issued a warning to Co., IWATE PREFECUTURE. In this case, Co., IWATE PREFECTURE could be in violation of prohibition of the Article 19 (falling under the Item 5, Paragraph 9, Article 2 [Abuse of Superior Bargaining Position]) of the Antimonopoly Act (AMA).
JFTC found that Co., IWATE PREFECTURE reduced the payment to the almost all suppliers who sold specific items to Co., IWATE PREFECTURE more than 1 million yen per month, from July 2017 to September 2018, in order to improve its own profitability without reasons attributable to those suppliers.
