A seminar on competition policy and law was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, hosted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the World Bank, and the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. Secretary General Hiroo Iwanari and Coordination Division Director Takaki Tanabe participated as panelists. They introduced the benefits of competition policy and law, the overview and history of Japan’s Antimonopoly Act, and the role of the JFTC in the electricity sector, and also engaged in discussions with other panelists on the importance of competition.
