G7 Joint Competition Enforcers and Policy Makers Summit

Overview 

The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) will host a G7 Joint Competition Enforcers and Policy Makers Summit on November 8, 2023 in Tokyo in cooperation with Secretariat of the Headquarters for Digital Market Competition (HDMC), Cabinet Secretariat to facilitate international efforts in digital field to promote improvement of competitive market conditions and effective competition law enforcement. For that purpose, we will discuss challenges in and approaches to digital markets, and how to deal with emerging technologies.

Side Event 

On November 9, 2023, the day after the Summit, Competition Policy Research Center of the JFTC will host a symposium, “The Roles of G7 Competition Authorities under Social and Economic Shifts” as the side event of the Summit.
